What are Ibuki's best ways to approach the opponent?

I used to play Rufus, Rose and Gen in Vanilla, but now I'm maining Ibuki and one of the biggest problems I have is approaching the opponent, or getting in close range safely to do my combos.

More specifically, wtih Rufus, I would obviously use divekicks to get myself in. With Rose and Gen, I can easily cross up the opponent. Ibuki on the other hand doesn't have a good crossup with j.MK, and j.LK is only marginally better. This coupled with her weird floaty jump angle, I always find myself in a weird situation where I'm too far to poke or just getting out prioritized as I try to get in.

I don't know if it is the BEST way but I main her to and alot of times I use her kunai to move forward... But now that I think about it, it all depends on what character I am going against and what they are doing against me.

Against Fireball characters like Ryu, Ken, akuma etc. I use D/F MK to slide under fireballs at about 3/4 screen away and immediately jump in with HP and then continue with her target combo; s.HP s.HP c.HK c.HK and from there you can Super Jump Cancel to get away so it resets the match and they don't try to mash out a wakeup EX move, BUT if they tech the knockdown (which happens like 98% of the time to me) I Super Jump Cancel out of the last hit of the target combo in the direction the character flies when the target combo ends (just because I anticipate the tech) and land on them with a HK which I believe is an untechable knockdown. This seemd to get people flustered because they just got hit with a "Fat Combo" (In the words of ComboFiend) and then I just sit there in their face and low block, they do a wakeup move thinking i am gonna continue the rampage and then I block it and hit them with like; s.LP > s.MP > c.HK > c.HK >(if you have Meter) EX Tsumuji > (and if you can execute it) Raida. EX Neckbreker also slides Clean under fireballs and from about 3/4 Screen away and seems to punish fireballs 100% of the time.

Everyday that I play with Ibuki I realize that she has ALOT!!! of option for mixups and you can be pretty creative with her.

I think sometimes people just don't know how good walking forward is. You can still block an incomming attack or counter one with your own, and still able to get some distance in. You dont have to be jumping or using a move to get in. Some times walking forward is the best option.
