What are Claw/Vega's option selects?

How do you option select?

I have a small understanding of what it is and how it works but I don't know how to do it.

I play Vega so if anyone can tell me some of  his option selects to help me start practicing with I would appreciate it.

Well an option select I like to do would be after using jumping fierce and cr. jab, I can option select to another cr. jab, overhead, or grab.

Cr. Jab to continue the block stun or possibly get a combo off the opponent like cr. jab, jab, to ex FBA

Overhead is good for people who like to tech grab or just loves to block low. It can also open another option select if successful on block or hit by the previous three that are mentioned.

Grab is for people who like to mash out jabs during blockstun or forget to tech grab. Even if the opponent tech grabs, you reset the situation into your favor since Vega's poke and walk speed is good in SSF4

But ya, Vega doesn't have much option select since his moves require charging and doesn't have much a cross up game other than d. fr. roundhouse

It has nothing to do with ultras. To my knowledge Option-select is putting in a set of commands and different things will happen depending on how the opponent reacts.

For example pressing down back short and jab while being attacked will do one of 3 things.

1.if your being frame trapped nothing will happen.

2.If your opponent tries to grab it will tech with the right timing.

3.if your opponent is attacking low short will come out.

As I said my knowledge is fairly limited so I don't know much outside of that.

Are you talking about Ultras? i didnt understand your question. but if its about wich ultra use, that depends of your playstyle. but try to learn how to use both. this way you can be hibrid and use diferent strats depending of your oponent character.
