How to execute multiple chainable moves into specials (Rose Trial 18)? - Super Street Fighter 4 Question - sf4answers

The last low punch needs to come out at the very last possible moment. It's the difference between canceling and linking. When you press jab as fast as you can, you're cancelling the last jab you inputted into the previous one. Meaning the previous jab's animation is cancelled to begin a new animation. When you allow the previous move's animation to complete before inputting the next move for a combo, you're 'linking'. Some moves like jab or short let you do both and some moves force you to do one or the other in order to used in a combo. For example, with akuma you can cancel jabs into one another for a small combo. But if you want to tag an srk at the end of that combo, you need to 'link' that last jab into the previous one for the srk to combo at the end. In lamens, you need to wait to input the last jab until the previous jab's animation ends.

You're probably cancelling each lp.  If you cancel a lp you cannot cancel into a special after it.  You need to link the last lp then the special will cancel.  So it should look like cr.lp xx cr.lp, cr.lp xx lk soul spir...

 

Basically do the last lp with more of a pause between the previous lp.  Or just slow your lp's down which is what I do.

I'm no expert, and I'm positive someone will answer this better then I would, but if it is anything like performing Akuma's c.lp x3 into lk.tatsu then you will need to have a small delay between the first 2 c.lp's and then perform the 3rd c.lp into soul spiral together.

 

If the delay is too long then it won't combo.

If the delay is not long enough then c.lk will come out like it is for you now.
