What kind of gate do the Mad Katz Fightsticks have?
Is the Round 2 Fightstick TE from Mad Katz an octagonal or square gate?

The TE sticks are meant to almost identically replicate the Taito Viewlix' look and feel, so they are using square gates and Sanwa parts like the original SFIV Viewlix cabinet.
Same applies for the Round 2 stick -it's just a little different looking.
It is indeed a square gate on the stick by default - However, it is a VERY easy thing to mod, as shown here in a short video by the lovely chaps on Screwattack

from what i've seen in my standard edition its the basic square gate. but its up to you if you wish to swap it out for a octagonal gate.
