Mashing Out of Dizzies
A few weeks before Super Street Fighter IV came out a friend of mine told me some pretty useful information about dizzies. He said that the length of the dizzy was determined by the strength of the attack that knocked you into a stunned state.
If you get knocked into Stun by:
Light Attack (Jab/Short) - Your character has birds spinning round their head and the stun is quite easy to mash out of.
Medium Attack (Strong/Forward) - Your character has stars spinning round their head and the stun is slightly harder to mash out of.
Heavy Attack (Fierce/Roundhouse) - Your character has skulls spinning round their heads and the stun is the hardest to mash out of.
My question is:
Is this true, and is this the same for SSFIV, and is there a "Best Way" to mash out of Stun?

When it comes to mashing out of dizzies, button presses certainly help, to that end, I usually use a flat palm approach and swipe the buttons constantly.
The most important thing, however is the joystick input. You want to get as many joystick movements input as possible. In order to do this, it helps to repeatedly perform either of the following repeatedly:
The reason for this is that when you alternate between the diagonal directions, for each sequence, you actually get four inputs instead of two; this makes sense because any of the diagonal movements registers as an input in the vertical and horizontal direction. When the game engine factors joystick inputs into escaping dizzies, the more input the better.
This is why those that advocate a Spinning Pile Driver movement are missing out. In doing an SPD, you don't maximize your inputs, every other input on the joystick alternates between one and two inputs, while alternating between the corners results in two inputs every time (so you will end up with 50% more inputs in the same amount of time).
I don't know about the length of the dizzy in relation to the strength of the attack that knocked your character in the first place, so I can't comment on that (although, I can't deny that it seems to fit).
