How am I supposed to deal with the lag while playing online? It makes me feel like I'm playing a different game!!!

i would say know your connection go to www.speedtest.net and test it anything greater than (in my opinion) 10 Mb download and 5-7 Mb upload and you should have a pretty stable connection and if thats the case host your own games and make sure to play people in your region i know for me when i play people from the UK since im in Boston the connection is horrible but people like in NY-FL-MA-VA-WA blah blah blah im golden also make sure people arent on the computer while your playing sometimes just having a computer connected to the internet that can slow you down on top a that you can have lil brother/sister downloading something or playing there own games
I would also like to add to Jon's response, that it's better to completely avoid people with a red connection or one that changes often (ie: red to yellow to red, etc...). So if you make your own room don't be reclutent to kick people or leave one.
If you lag in every game or almost every, the problem is probably you. In which case take some of precautions Jon has suggested.
