Juri v. Blanka? - Super Street Fighter 4 Question - sf4answers

It's a really hard stuff to Juri. But he can be beat. Be sure with some things:

Horizontal rolls has a safe block agains juris. Because you cant attack too quickly and ranged to punish him before he can block. So the best way is jump and punish him when you're falling. of couse, blanka can use his shockwave but it you can get him if you attack in the right time.

Ultra2: you can use it as a counterattack. Usualy blankas spams horizontal rolls and air rolls. you can take this off with ultra2.

Dive kicks: DONT USE IT. if he's shocking and you use you'll be punished.

EX-Spinwheel kick reversals: sometimes blankas put you down and then keep dashing changing side until you came up and take a grab or something. EX-Spinwheel is a good safe to take him away.

Watch his super bar: when he's out of bars. he cant use EX horizontal roll. then you can try use a little of medium fuhajin to break his horizontal rols and high fuhajin to break his horizontals.

as DMG Reaper said, "Juri's best bet in this matchup is to play highly defensively and let Blanka come to you."

just remember. even if he's with a low hp and you with high hp, DONT CHANGE YOU'RE STRAT. if you was in defensive and he's almost dying, its because you was in defensive stance. if you change he can pwn you.

well, i dont have that much knowledge on this match-up, but i know that to punish horizontal balls, u can dash up and ex pinwheel,  which means ex pinwheel should be able to punish up balls as well, but im not to sure about  that

As a Blanka, I have seen a lot of Juri's get really cocky when they do get a hit in, and then they divekick and spinwheel nonstop. So advice would be to keep playing defensively if you get close to him and don't overestimate yourself or underestimate him.

And don't taunt. I run into Juri's who taunt and it costs them the match everytime :P
