Leveling up my play.
I want to start playing at tournaments but want to make sure im at my best before I do so.
Is there any websites or places I can compete in online tournaments or even just online casuals with a lot of good players and different characters so I can learn match ups better because Im getting bored of just played random people online because they can be complete garbage for all I know and im learning nothing.
Obviously theres Shoryuken.com but I dont feel like I can find online tournaments or anything, I have to go to like the XBox Live sub-forum and ask people 1 by 1, "Is there any Chun Li that wants to practice against my Balrog" or something like that.
Is there any other way that I can get better match ups without haveing to ask people one by one?

Well sf4answers.com and shoryuken.com both have a part of their sites that show local tournaments going on. Besides that you have to narrow your search a bit.
If you want to level up your Chun-Li go to the Chun-Li section in Shoryuken's forums and post your gamertag.
That's how I met alot of people who helped me level up my game and I'm still learning.
Another way would be for you to somehow post your vids either on here or YouTube.
For example, I'm always posting vids on my channel and if you want we can run through some matches and I can post them for you no problem my gamertag is SUPER HOST & I'm always up for a few matches and I can introduce you to a few players as well.
There are also sites like www.option-select.com, http://frame-advantage.com/ and www.eventhubs.com which are all great places to see other videos read posts and connect with the community.
Play a lot and pay attention when you play, don't just play. Try to make every fight a learning experience, win or lose. Watch videos and replays to see how certain people react in a specific situation.
You can add me on XBL and I can try to help you, although I don't have a mic at the moment. :(

I actually found a few different groups of people that have fight nights during the week. So you get to play in person which is way better than online, and you get to play a lot of different people. It's nice and relaxed because everyone is cool and they can actually watch what you are doing and offer on the spot advice to help you out. SF4answers and Shoryuken both have events pages to look stuff like that up.
Thanks a lot man. I heard of the frame advantage site but i just couldn't find it il be sure to check it out.
My Gamertag is Captin Swagga.
dont ask lmao my friends old account, But yea that would be great if we could have a few matches recorded so i can post it on srk and see what people say. Il add you tomorow thanks a lot
