How is Cammy vs Abel in Cammy's favor?

I've heard in a number of places now that Cammy has the advantage against Abel. As a Cammy player myself I don't see how that is the case. He does very good damage and mixups which Cammy doesn't have any more answers to than any other character. Also, Abel can as much hold down+backwards as any other character to make the match hard for Cammy.

Please tell me, because I don't see it.

That may be true, but as a Cammy player myself, I know that Abels usually have to be really defensive to stand much of a chance. The fact that she has a way better anti-air than Abel puts her at an advantage. With it she can beat his cartwheel kick and Tornado throw (not sure about EX Tornado Throw) and if it's blocked Abel has no real response to it since she lands too far out of his range (I know for sure he can do cr.roundhouse but only at certain distances. I believe his cart wheel kick is too slow). Also, her moves have more range than his. Spiral Arrow, Quick Spin Knuckle and Hooligan Combination are all moves that help her close the gap on him.  The amount of mix up options she has are pretty solid, especially after a knockdown. Abel can't do jack against her dive kick and has to guess what she is going to do after each one. Basically she can keep him out of the air with her Cannon Spike and pound him on the ground with her dive kick mix up game. She controls the ground and the air better then he can. Most of her normals are faster than his too (3 frame cr.jab/short against his 5 frame cr. jab/short)

In the end it always boils down to the skill of the players controlling each character so this isn't set in stone, but Abel does have to work harder for the win. Here's a video to illustrate my point. It's of two pro players going at it with the aforementioned characters. Rico Suave is a rush down, highly offensive type of player, but in this fight he is forced to be defensive.

Well for starters, any low kick move beats most of Abel's moves, period, including his Ultra, it doesn't matter when you pull it out, if you do a cannon arrow and he tries to ultra it, you will win, if he ultras and you sweep, you will win, your ultra wins, your super beats his ultra, etc... Cammy's anti-air is definitely more dangerous and useful than Abel's like previously mentioned, (though in SSF4 they have made Abel's Anti-Air game much better) so basically if you pressure Abel and stay low, play footsies, he can't really close in on you very well, if he jumps in just spike him out of the air. Abel is unable to get too aggressive in this match-up since Cammy's main game IS TO BE aggressive, she is a bit faster so you should use that too your advantage to keep him on his toes....also just because Abel's anti-air isn't great doesn't mean you should jump in all the time, try to stay low and utilize your dashes, play mind games if and when needed.

I'm beginning to learn Cammy now, and from the perspective as a Blanka player, I look at it as how effectively I control the space that Cammy can effectively attack in.  Blanka has the horizontal and diagonal spaces covered pretty well. Cammy is the same way, she can cannon drill forward, cannon spike diagonally, hooligan combo forward, etc. All of her moves really work well againts him because of Abel's almost need of a high/low game mixup to get in. She can counter by taking advantage of that with her specials.
