How do I use the Feng Shui Engine?

I started using Juri. And i was told that with Ultra 1 (Feng Shui Engine) you are able to link moves better. But when I use it, it seems like nothing changes. Can someone please explain Feng Shui Engine for me?

You are right, with the Feng Shui Engine (Ultra 1), Juri's gains properties on her normal attacks that allow her to link them more effectively.  However, there is a specific ruleset in how those links may be executed:

  • Only a normal with an equal or higher attack strength than your current move may be linked
  • When linking attacks of equal strength, you can only link opposing attack types (i.e. punch to kick, or kick to punch)
  • If you release a fireball, you can start a new chain (e.g. you release a fireball off a HP, then you can start with LP/LK again)

Additionally, her f+MK overhead changes to have +6 frame advantage on hit, so it becomes much more viable to link from that into most of her normals except for the following:

  • close HK
  • far HP
  • far HK
  • cr. HP
  • cr. HK
