What is the cheapest way to record xbox footage without it being terrible quality?

Just wondering on that.,

If you are willing to shelve out the $ for it, and have extra PCIe slot in your computer, I highly reccomend the Blackmagic Intensity Pro.  If you somehow have USB 3.0 slots in your computer as well, you can skip needing the PCIe slot and going straight to the Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle.  Both take virtually any input your console could possibly dish out.

splitting the connections still gets you a bit of lag for me its about a split second so for a game like sf4 it matters alot  atleast for using componect connections i havent done it with hdmi because i dont have a hdmi capture card but if i ever get 1 ill letcha know but i think the lag is unavoidable even just watching a match in lets say endless battle they make it lag on purpose so as not to interfere with the people playing

Here's another good question: is it fully lagless if you split the signal? How do you split the HDMI signal first without adding input / processing lag and still getting full quality?

besides camera phone and handheld cameras i use the xcm vbox 2 advanced theres vids on it on youtube that show you how it works but ill explain here to

xcm vbox 2 advanced $85

you connect your 360 to either the vbox 2 or the splitter it comes with then connect  the vbox 2 to the computer

the upside: great price

The Downside: HASSLES! you have to play in sd (480p)  but after your videos recorded you can re render it up to youtube standard 720 and 1080p the software it comes with is trash and i've gone through almost 7 different video capture software's to get the quality i get now www.youtube.com/x617x

the only reason i bought it is because my laptops webcam is 2 mega pixels and the really good capture devices are $200
