Rose VS Sagat
i'm a rose user (no, really) and I seem to be having trouble against Sagat, I usually eat projectile characters for lunch, but his fireball seems to come to fast for soul reflect. When people spam me with his fireballs there's little i can do against it. Any advice?

Offline, Rose can win the fireball battle. Online, she has no chance. DONT ABUSE SLIDE, use it, but dont abuse it. His standing medium kick stuffs it clean and its easy for him to uppercut on reaction. You need to mix up sagat and safejump him. Cross him up, confuse him into throwing errant dp's. mixup jab, walk up mk, jab walk up throw, jab walk up block or backdash. get him comfortable throwing fireballs, read and react. There are a lot of tactics you need to employ to beat a good sagat. This is a really hard matchup for her, but online its way worse. Just remember that if you're good with roses zoning tools (mixing reflect, fireball, neutral jump, focus) Offline Sagat will not be throwing so many fireballs and if you're good he'll have to come to you.

Slide kick is your friend, sir. This of course cannot apply if you are facing a Sagat who does nothing but low Tiger Shots, but you can close ground very well by using her slide kick to go under the high Tiger Shots. Get in, c.MP into Soul Spiral. Sagat is all about playing the pressure game, and when you get close beware that he can open back up that space that you finally gained on him with a Tiger Knee or Uppercut.
Round 2 of this matchup between EmblemLord (Sagat) and Riclim (Rose) is a perfect example of what you are running into - high fireball pressure against Rose. Unfortunately for Rose, this is a great tactic for Sagat to use simply BECAUSE his fireballs are so fast. Just look at what happens in Round 3 when Sagat decides to NOT use a fireball/spacing strategy.
I'd say learn 3 things - One, dont even try to focus on using Reflect against Sagat, you're only going to take damage. Two, proper application and timing of her slide and her jump in HP can turn the battle to your favor. Three, dont be afraid to shoot back some fireballs of your own, especially her EX Soul Spark. A LP Soul Spark can also sometimes suddenly slow the match down and give you time to think out your next move.
