Madcatz SE Modded stick stopped working

I have a modded Madcatz SE arcade sick. It has been working just fine for several months. Then, right in the middle of play, the stick stopped working. The buttons worked but the stick itself no longer registered. I opened it up and all the connections were tight. So I plugged it back in and noticed that not only did the stick still not register but the turbo button didn't work either. Anyone else run into a similar situation? Thanks

There is a chance your PCB could have been "washered'

A Lot of the SE sticks, the sticks in them are sanwa knock offs and iff the washer comes loose, it'll scrape the heck out of the PCB thus rendering it useless.

When you say its 'Modded'  What do you mean by that?

It sounds like a wire is loose.

The SE's Mother board wiring is not the best.  I speak from experience... but I'll tell you how i found out...

I had problems with my SE stick so I decided to tear it apart and use the guts for a new stick.. Here is when I found out that the wiring (one wire) had come out of contact.  (See Video)

maybe the washer on your SE stick has worn some of the circuit board. that's what happens to the Hori Ex2 since the washer isn't glued down it erodes the circuits on the boards causing it to stop you may have to change the stick entirely or just the actual circuit board. just a suggestion =P

The switch was set to d-pad. i changed it to left stick just to see if that worked. Nothing. But the Turbo button doesn't work either. I never use it but I pressed it to see if maybe that entire area didn't work. And it didn't.

The exact same thing happened to me a few months ago and I put the exact same post up here lol. Anyway is the switch to make the inputs change from D pad or left analog stick or right stick set on right stick? If so it wont work. The switch should be up near the turbo button if you don't know where it is.
