Learning new/multiple characters

What is one's approach to being effective with more than one character, I used to play with one character 1 day then another, another day. Is there another way? What's everyone take on this?

Well its quite easy really. What I did with (Balrog, Ryu, Dudley, Guy, Rufus and Dan) is find someone who is plays with the character you want to learn only (their main) and from there you can pick their brain of what works and what doesn’t,  dos and don’ts of each character. From there take what you have learn and put it into action. Granted there will be a lot for you to take in (takes notes) and work one thing at a time until you have it down packed. Then move onto the next thing but be sure to incorporated the previous thing you learn into it.

The websites I mentioned are universal to every character!! Take your time and look around for your character.

I say stick with two characters, preferably ones that compliment each other or supplement each other's weaknesses.
