Makoto Trial 24

I can do the Hayate Cancel by itself but when I'm canceling/linking into the Hayate I can't seem to cancel the move.

The way I do the Hayate Cancel stand-alone is I tap K right after the move or do QCF HP + MK, but neither of those are working for me when I'm trying to do this trial.

Any tips?

If anyone needs to know, I figured it out.  What I did to cancel the hayate after st. HP was QCF HP + HK and held down HP + HK for a split second.

After I got that down, the harder part was timing cr. LP, its kind of tough to hold down HP + HK for longer than usual (but less than a second) and then double tap LP, so I just muscled it until i got it.

In all honesty, its a nice combo, but I don't find it very practical.  It seems like the point of it is to connect a st. HP with a cr. LP and a LP hayate.

Its way more useful to stick with her simpler bread and butter combos.

For example: Karakusa, st. HP, HP Hayate xx Tanden Renki, Seichusen Godanzuki is easier to pull off and the damage difference is more, so why not just stick to that?

Holding HP+HK a few extra frames works great.

I was so used to doing the HP into Hayate by doing HP (press) QCF HP (release) that I had teach myself not to do that and slow down for the HP+HK to register at the right time.
